Submissions Guidelines
National Music
Publishers publishes secular and sacred choral, handbell, organ, vocal, and instrumental ensemble music.
We will not consider submissions that are
(1) not consistent with other works in our catalogs or (2) sent to more than
one publisher at a time.
All works
submitted for consideration must be accompanied by:
1.
A statement that the music and lyrics (if any) are
original compositions, or
2.
Documentation that the non-original portions are in
the public domain, or
3.
A signed and dated agreement from all other
copyright holders both
·
granting permission to use or arrange their
copyrighted work(s) and
·
specifying how any royalties are to be divided
Please send one
of the following (1) a Finale™ or Sibelius™ file on a CD or DVD or (2) a PDF
file and/or (3) a neat and clear hard (print) copy to the address below. A recording on CD or cassette is appreciated,
but not required, and recordings will not be considered without a print or digital
print file.

Submissions may
also be made by e-mail to orders@emersonmusic.com
provided that (1) the subject line contain “SUBMISSION” and the title of the
work AND (2) the body of
the message include your contact information (address and telephone number) and
a description of the work included in the attachment. If the work being submitted is larger then
1.5 MB as an attachment, it should be sent by regular mail. E-mail submissions
not meeting these requirements will be discarded unread with the hundreds of
spam messages we receive daily.
We will review
your submission to see if it may be appropriate for one of our imprints:

Materials
submitted will not be returned unless you include return shipping.
We normally
respond within 90 days with either acceptance and a contract or a letter indicating
that we have elected to not publish the work.
Due to varying workloads during the year, please contact us before
submitting the work to another publisher.
